Q 1. My CT1 Calorie Tracker shows I'm burning XX calories but I'm not losing any weight?
A How many calories you're burning is only part of what you need to know to plan an effective weight loss program. Also important is how many calories you're consuming. If you're consuming as much as or more than you're burning, then you won't lose weight. Be careful, though, not to reduce your calories eaten by too much, or your metabolism will slow down!

Q 2. I got my CT1 Calorie Tracker wet and now it doesn't work. What should I do?
A The CT1 calorie tracker is not water-resistant or waterproof. Unfortunately, by getting it wet, you've voided your warranty.

Q 3. What do I do when I'm wearing clothing that doesn't have a waistband?
A We ask that you wear your CT1 Calorie Tracker as often as possible. We understand that sometimes it's not possible, and this is OK. Depending on the style of clothing and people's preferences, we have had Trackers clip the CT1 onto their pantyhose waistband. This is up to you, though. It is important that you wear your CT1 as close to your waist as possible to ensure an accurate reading.

Q 4. I changed my battery on my CT1 and now it's not working any more. What's wrong?
A Each time your CT1's battery is changed, you will need to re-initialize the unit. Once it loses power, it "forgets" who you are. Insert your CT1 into the BC1 docking station as you would to upload and log in to the software. Once logged in, select your CT1 from the list box and click "initialize" on the right hand side of the software box. Then simply follow the instructions.

Q 5. My unit doesn't seem to be working right. What do I do?
A First, check the troubleshooting section of your user manual. You can also access the manual online in your Member section. If you're still having problems, contact our technical support group at 800-207-5480 x 106.

Q 6. Can someone else use my CT1?
A Only if they have an account and have re-initialized the unit to match their profile. Otherwise, the unit will probably not read their caloric burn accurately. You can purchase additional units for your friends and family. There is no limit to the number of units you can buy.

Q 7. How accurate is my CT1?
A For activities that involve "whole body movement" (such as running, walking, aerobic exercise, etc.) the CT1 is very accurate - the technology it's based on is used in major universities around the world to study physiology. For "specific area movement" (such as bicycling or weight lifting), Stayhealthy is developing software modifications that will bring the CT1 to a similar level of accuracy as for "whole body movement".
