Thomas Chamberlain, Ph.D.

Dr. Chamberlain is Vice President of Corporate Development for Stayhealthy Inc. He is an innovative business executive with a passion for leading entrepreneurial healthcare companies. With more than 20 years of experience and expertise in managed care marketing, strategic planning, business development, and clinical services, Chamberlain is recognized for his creative approaches to designing and implementing leading-edge health care initiatives for employers, health care organizations and pharmaceutical manufacturers.

Prior to joining Stayhealthy, Chamberlain was President of Managed Market Resources, a healthcare consulting and medical communications firm specializing in the planning, development and execution of novel programs and services for the pharmaceutical industry. He served as the Executive Director of the Benefit Design Institute, a national organization focused on improving consumer health through value-based purchasing and innovative health benefit design. Previously, he was Founder and CEO of The Chamberlain Group, a multi-company health care organization which was acquired by PharMerica, an AmerisourceBergen subsidiary, in 1999. Following the acquisition, Chamberlain served as President of the Center for Health Information, a wholly-owned subsidiary of PharMerica. He has held positions as Director of Research and Corporate Development and Director of Clinical Services at large consultant pharmacy organizations. In these positions, Dr. Chamberlain coordinated corporate-wide clinical and educational programming and established the first institutional pharmacy-based research organization.

Nationally recognized and considered a thought leader throughout the pharmacy profession, Dr. Chamberlain is a national speaker, has contributed to literature, and is frequently sought after as a moderator for healthcare and educational forums. Dr. Chamberlain has been active in the leadership of the American Society of Consultant Pharmacists (ASCP), in which he served as vice president and member of the board of directors for four years.

Dr. Chamberlain received his Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from the University of Rhode Island and his Doctor of Pharmacy from the Medical University of South Carolina. He also completed residency programs at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and The Medical College of Virginia.
